UPHC Lal Bazar, UPHC Batamaloo of Srinagar District awarded Quality Certification under National Quality Assurance StandardsAward has brought along more responsibilities on staff to uphold high-quality standards at the Health Centres:DC SrinagarSrinagar,October 03 (GNS):In recognition of the high standards of quality and performance maintained by the two Health Institutions of Srinagar District, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has awarded Urban Primary Health Centre(UPHC) Lal Bazar and UPHC Batamaloo with the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) Certification.The parameters for the award included 24/7 mandatory service accessibility, availability of curative, preventive, and diagnostic services, implementation of safety measures in primary care facilities, hospital infection control, cleanliness and hygiene, safe and respectful maternity care, infrastructure and equipment availability, initiatives to reduce Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Rates, and increased patient satisfaction.The UPHC Lal Bazar underwent National Level External Assessment between 11 September to 12 September, 2024 in all 12 departments and got 93.56 percent overall score.Similarly, UPHC Batamaloo underwent external assessment on 13 September and 14 September, 2024 and obtained an overall score of 92.91 percent.Speaking about the achievement, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat said that the sincere efforts and hard work put in by our dedicated staff of UPHCs of Lal Bazar and Batamaloo have been recognised. The DC congratulated the CMO Srinagar and staff members of both the health facilities. He urged them to work with added zeal and dedication and treat patients in a compassionate way.DC said this award has brought along more responsibilities on their shoulders to uphold high-quality standards at the health Institutions.(GNS)
