Public Holidays Declared for J&K Legislative Assembly Elections 2024
Srinagar, Sep 12 (NVI):Consequent upon the announcement of General Elections to the Legislative Assembly of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir has declared the public holidays on the following dates:.
According to an order issued, a copy of which lies with the News Vibes of India (NVI) reads a public holiday shall be observed in the Main Wing and Srinagar Wing of the High Court. Similarly, October 1, 2024 (Tuesday), shall be a holiday for the Jammu Wing of the High Court, unless the elections are deferred.
Further, the employees working in the Main Wing and are the domicile of other districts are also allowed an additional paid holiday on the day of a poll in their respective districts. The Registrar Judicial Jammu and Srinagar have been asked to ensure that paid holidays are granted to employees working in their respective wings on their District Polling Dates.—(News Vibes of India)
